Chef Diego Guerrero puts the “T” in DSTAgE with Electrolux Professional
Opened in July 2014, DSTAgE owned by Michelen star chef Diego Guerrero was no doubt one of the most anticipated restaurants in Spain. Chef Guerrero is known for his very unique style of cooking, using only the highest quality ingredients and standards, presented in a modest way. We can define DSTAgE as “casual haute cuisine”. A name which stands for: “Days to Smell, Taste, Amaze, Grow and Enjoy”, a place where the kitchen is the center of attention, coming in direct contact with the guests.
DSTAgE, uniquely distributed on two floors, offers its guests 2 menu options, 10 courses for 88 euro or 13 courses at 118 euro. Here, guests will begin their dining experience as soon as they enter the restaurant at the ground level, finding themselves in the bar area for appetizers and drinks. Then the natural flow brings them into the dining room, an area which can accommodate approximately 40 guests. It’s at the far end of the dining area where the elegant Electrolux kitchen is on display for all to see, designed in this way so Chef Guerrero can easily interact with his guests throughout their dinner.
This scenario is quite a challenge in terms of work flow and presentation due to the many people working directly in front of the guests, everything must be perfect. In order to support the front kitchen, additional chefs work from the lower level, in the cleverly named BACKDSTAgE, an area dedicated to private events, culinary demonstrations and courses.
Chef Guerrero confidently stated: “With Electrolux I felt supported in my idea from the very first minute. For me, excellence is being able to make difficult ideas like DSTAgE easy and keeping them that way. We will surely develop our next project with Electrolux.”
Electrolux proudly equipped DSTAgE with the most innovative solutions such as: a thermaline cooking suite, a green&clean hood type dishwasher, an ecostore Touch refrigerator and freezer and the air-o-system cook&chill solution composed of an air-o-steam Touchline combi oven and an air-o-chill chiller/freezer.
