Fabbrica8: a former textile factory now culinary home of entertainment

In Nardò, in an area that used to be a tobacco factory and a textile laboratory, now stands Fabbrica8: an attractive location within an elite surrounding that stimulates cultural exchanges, passion for art and anything else that helps a community to grow.

The property owner is Attilio De Razza, producer of the films of Ficarra and Picone and winner of the David di Donatello 2017 for best producer of the year for the award-winning film ‘’Indivisible’’.

The renovated and restored space welcomes a wide range of activities, from cabaret, theater and live music to excellent food and wine.

The latter is presented through several formats. There is street food, in the middle of the space, where every Saturday there is an alternation of regional specialties. We can find a temporary restaurant, which invites a chef to create the menu for that week. Lastly, there is the ‘’lessons from the chefs’’ area, a real culinary school with 16 workstations with teachers that offer a rich program of courses for aspiring chefs and other enthusiasts.

Fabbrica8 has found the ideal partner in Electrolux Professional to equip their entire area dedicated to food. A 900XP cooking block installed on the wall and the 16 stations for the courses are each equipped with a 5-liter planetary mixer, a double zone induction top and a Speedy Mixer immersion mixer. To complete the package, there is a cook&chill tower with the air-o-steam Touchline combi oven on top of a blast chiller. The storage/preservation area has refrigerators and refrigerated tables in combination with the green&clean hood type dishwasher and glasswasher.
