R+vive: Pioneering Circularity in Professional Laundry
Introducing our first remanufactured commercial washing machine
Fully disassembled and rebuilt by Electrolux Professional. Tested and certified to perform like new.
Reviving our world with a circular approach
Humanity is currently consuming resources 1.75 times faster than Earth’s ecosystems can regenerate them. This is driven largely by “take-make-waste” linear economies where materials are extracted, turned into products, and promptly disposed of as waste. For this reason, circularity can’t be seen as an added bonus – it’s an environmental responsibility.
At Electrolux Professional, we are committed to meeting needs beyond tomorrow, which is why we are constantly innovating to find ways of going beyond just reducing waste. We’re rethinking how machines are made, used, and disposed of at end-of-life, culminating in R+vive: our first remanufactured commercial washing machine.
With this project, we’re aiming to set a new benchmark in circularity for the professional laundry industry. Starting with the rollout of remanufactured appliances and a pioneering take-back scheme across Europe, we aim to scale this initiative up across the globe to break the cycle of the “take-make-waste” economy.

What is remanufacturing?
Remanufacturing is one of the seven Rs of the circular economy – reduce, return, recycle, reuse, repair, redesign, and remanufacture.
As defined under Regulation EU 2024/1781, remanufacturing encapsulates any actions through which a new product is produced from objects that are waste, products or components and through which at least one change is made that substantially affects the safety, performance, purpose, or type of the product.
This process goes significantly further than light-touch refurbishment, and involves the full disassembly of an appliance before rebuilding it to a standard that is equivalent to, or better than, a 100% new machine.
The environmental impact is sizeable. The Circular Transition Indicator (CTI) score for our R+vive remanufactured machines is 68%, which is more than double the CTI score of an equivalent brand-new machine. Most importantly, R+vive does all of this without compromising on performance, allowing your laundry and sustainability goals to go hand in hand.

Our R+vive models have been tested for 30,000
cycles, providing asset longevity and performance

Reborn to perform
A remanufactured R+vive model offers all the same features and benefits you’d expect from a new Line 6000 machine:
Advanced controls for consistent, reliable washing results
Up to 25% less water consumption
A high spin speed and maximum dewatering for reduced drying times
Same spare parts availability as per brand
(Market introductions will be phased, with availability aligned to local launch timing.)
Join us in pioneering circularity
R+vive is only possible with supply of older machines, which is why we’ve launched a European take-back scheme to make it easy for customers to return their old Generation 3000, 4000, and 5000 front-load washing machines from 7kg up to 33 kg.
Many of the parts in your washing machine are common across the last three generations, with the potential to be reused where recoverable.
