As a partner at this year\u2019s Forum, we had a platform to promote our values and network with around 400 delegates from 30 countries.<\/p>\n<p>They ranged from Michelin-star chefs to young entrepreneurs that all shared a passion for food and the power of gender diversity in the industry.<\/p>\n<p>What became evident was that a shift has already started \u2013 females are determined to claim their place as leaders and become the new faces of the next big thing in food.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more, millennials are not only discussing diversity, they are intent on bringing sustainable thinking to the fore \u2013 being a force for good to feed an ever-growing population through social projects and innovative start-ups.<\/p>\n<p>Big personalities in the restaurant trade are increasingly supporting the cause.<br \/>\nOn stage, Anne-Sophie Pic \u2013 the French chef with a tally of seven Michelin stars to her name \u2013 discussed the trials of taking over her family business amid the male-dominated arena of her father\u2019s kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>Now established as a culinary icon, she advocates better practices and conditions that have allowed for an almost 50-50 balance of male and female chefs at the flagship Maison Pic in Valance.<\/p>\n<p>Her male counterparts are \u2013 importantly \u2013 speaking out too.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/noma.dk\/\">Noma<\/a>\u2019s Ren\u00e9 Redzepi revealed a vision that his restaurants should be the best place to work in the world \u2013 for both sexes.<\/p>\n<p>And given his 10-year-old daughter\u2019s flair for food, he would certainly encourage her to follow in his footsteps yet make her own mark in tomorrow\u2019s gastronomic world.<\/p>\n<p>With women making their voices heard louder in the industry, it makes business sense for us at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.electroluxprofessional.com\/us\/\">Electrolux Professional<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 with our shared values \u2013 to support this shift, be part of it and empower even more change for the better.\u201d[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][elx_heading font_container=&#8221;h3&#8243; text_color=&#8221;inherit&#8221;]You may also like:[\/elx_heading][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][elx_maylike_box id_box=&#8221;4836&#8243; matched_labels=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][elx_maylike_box id_box=&#8221;4952&#8243; matched_labels=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][elx_maylike_box id_box=&#8221;4888&#8243; matched_labels=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Women in the restaurant and hospitality industry have an appetite for change \u2013 as seen and heard at the recent\u00a0Parabere Forum\u00a0\u2013 a global network to improve gastronomy with women\u2019s vision.
