Do not use pliers or similar to depress the connector, it should only be depressed by hand!<\/li>\n<li>Check that there is no leak from the inlet water tap. If you find a leak coming from the tap, call a plumber to solve the problem.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][elx_heading text_color=&#8221;inherit&#8221;]How to clean the rubber seal of your washing machine[\/elx_heading][vc_column_text]How to clean the door seal and other internal parts of your washing machine:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This can also solve problems with marks or stains on clothes if quick-wash or low-temperature programmes are used very often.<\/li>\n<li>Run a number of wash cycles at 90\u00b0C, without any laundry, but with a cup of sodium carbonate in the drum to clean the seal. (Sodium carbonate irritates skin and mucous membranes. Please use with extreme caution!)<\/li>\n<li>Or you can use our special Electrolux Professional washing machine cleaner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][elx_heading text_color=&#8221;inherit&#8221;]My washing machine is making a noise \u2013 moving and shaking when on the spin cycle[\/elx_heading][vc_column_text]Make sure the\u00a0<strong>transit bolts<\/strong>\u00a0have been removed from the rear of the appliance.<br \/>\nLevel the appliance by raising or lowering\u00a0<strong>the feet<\/strong>. The appliance must be stable on a hard\u00a0<strong>flat floor<\/strong>. If necessary, use a spirit level. Any adjustment can be made with a spanner. It is important that there is no \u2018bounce\u2019, as the appliance will vibrate during spin.<br \/>\nMake sure all hoses are securely fitted and clipped to the rear of the appliance\u2019s casing. Loose-fitting\u00a0<strong>hoses<\/strong>\u00a0can vibrate against the appliance during spin cycles and make a \u2018knocking\u2019 noise.<br \/>\nCheck that\u00a0<strong>the washing<\/strong>\u00a0has been loaded correctly and make sure no fabrics are caught between the door and drum.<br \/>\n<strong>REMEMBER!\u00a0<\/strong>Having only one item loaded can cause an unbalanced spin, just the same as an overloaded drum.<br \/>\nIn the event of loose coins, lighters, buttons or other small objects caught in the\u00a0<strong>drain filter<\/strong>, check the filter if your machine has a visible one. Refer to your user manual for instructions on how to do this.<br \/>\nLoose underwire from bras \u2013 check the holes of the drum\/in-between the drum sections<br \/>\nNormal noise \u2013 Can occur throughout the cycle \u2013 for instance, buckles and zips knocking on the glass, vibration on spin cycles, pumps and motors operating, water intake on filling cycles, elements heating up, fans operating on dry cycles (washer-dryers only), beeping upon cycle changes, electronics at start and end of cycle.[\/vc_column_text][elx_heading text_color=&#8221;inherit&#8221;]My washing machine\u2019s door lock is broken[\/elx_heading][vc_column_text]When a programme has just finished, the door cannot at first be opened. Don\u2019t worry, this doesn\u2019t mean it\u2019s broken \u2013 this is a standard feature and the door lock will release after around 2-5 minutes.<br \/>\nIf you still can\u2019t open the door after 2-5 minutes, check whether any of part of the handle shows damage. It can be a difficult material and should be treated with care for its form, colour and quality to be preserved.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proper washing of wool<\/strong><br \/>\nWool is a natural material that needs to be washed and dried in a certain way. It is also always advisable to follow the washing instructions on clothing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When washing wool, do not use enzyme-containing washing powder<\/strong><br \/>\nMost types of laundry detergent contain enzymes that help dissolve grease and dirt, making it easier to get clothes clean. Wool cannot tolerate enzymes, as they can dissolve the wool. As such, it is very important that you do not wash wool with an enzyme-containing detergent.
