AHCP members are directly involved in managing and delivering cleaning and hygiene services in most NHS and independent hospitals. Members also hold key roles in many primary care and GP clinics and surgeries, nursing and care homes and other residential care settings provided by the public, charitable and private sectors. The AHCP assists in the development of standards and protocols used by the NHS and the UK Department of Health with the goal of delivering cleaner, safer healthcare environments.<\/p>\n<form id=\"aspnetForm\" action=\"\/Our-Customers\/news\/Awards\/abecs-Scoops-Top-Award\/?topic=1625\" method=\"post\" name=\"aspnetForm\">\n<div id=\"backgroundContainer\"><\/div>\n<\/form>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]The award was presented to Julie Fell, Marketing Manager and Kurt Fryer, National Account Manager, Electrolux Professional Laundry, by Denise Foster, National Chair of the AHCP at a gala dinner following the AHCP\u2019s annual conference in Telford, Shropshire.<\/p>\n<form id=\"aspnetForm\" action=\"\/Our-Customers\/news\/Awards\/abecs-Scoops-Top-Award\/?topic=1625\" method=\"post\" name=\"aspnetForm\">\n<div id=\"backgroundContainer\">\n<div id=\"container\">\n<div id=\"ctl00_pnlDefault\">\n<div id=\"content\" class=\"subInnovation clear\">\n<div class=\"span-10 bullets\">\n<p class=\"bm4 tm4 rm40\">Kurt Fryer, on receiving the award, commented: \u201cWe are extremely pleased to have won this prestigious award for Best innovation 2012 and both Julie and I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the development of abecs\u2122.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"bm4 tm4 rm40\">The judges, all patrons of the association, included Tracey Gauci (Chief Nursing Officer for the Welsh Assembly Government), Paul Kingsmore (Director of Estates and Facilities &#8211; Health Facilities Scotland), Mike Rollins (Consultant , specialising in healthcare and cleaning the built environment) and Andy Jones (Incoming President of the Association).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/form>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][elx_image_block background_image=&#8221;4304&#8243; minimum_height=&#8221;380px&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]There were twelve entries for this category, including entrants from a number of microfibre and cleaning companies such as Diversy and Vikan. The voting was unanimous in favour of abecs\u2122.<\/p>\n<p>The abecs\u2122 launch officially took place at the largest cleaning show ISSA in Amsterdam in May. Both customers and press were invited to a launch event at the Electrolux offices in Diemen where presentations on the concept were provided by Wolf Marcus Frank, Paolo Schira and Martin \u00d8stergaard.<\/p>\n<form id=\"aspnetForm\" action=\"\/Our-Customers\/news\/Awards\/abecs-Scoops-Top-Award\/?topic=1625\" method=\"post\" name=\"aspnetForm\">\n<div id=\"backgroundContainer\">\n<div id=\"container\">\n<div id=\"ctl00_pnlDefault\">\n<div id=\"content\" class=\"subInnovation clear\">\n<div class=\"span-10 bullets\">\n<p class=\"bm4 tm4 rm40\">abecs\u2122 enters Electrolux into a new arena of product and service offering with a wealth of new avenues and opportunities in the cleaning industry as well as the traditional route of laundry.
